Our History

In September 1959, after leaving active duty with the US army, our chairman Ed Weeren entered the property and casualty insurance industry. In 1964 he entered the independent agency side of the business.

During his career he served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Austin, TX. In 2011, he received the Al Johnston award for efforts to promote insurance education. To this day, Ed is an active participant in Ed Weeren Insurance Agency, Inc., alongside his daughter and agency president, Kelli Stanford.

It’s easy to get distracted while driving. All it takes is an incoming text message, a fussy baby, or changing the radio station and your eyes are off the road long enough to crash into the slowing vehicle in front of you. This coverage is available in a variety of daily limits.
